Detective Inspector Neil Thompson, of Leeds District Crime Team, said: “These burglaries have all occurred in the same general area and over a similar time period and we are looking at whether they are linked.

“We would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious at any of these locations around the time of the incidents.”

In the first incident, burglars smashed an office window at Queenswood Education Centre, in Foxcroft Close, shortly after 3am.

They entered the building but are believed to have been disturbed by the alarm and left without taking anything.

The burglary at Kirkstall Leisure Centre, in Kirkstall Lane, happened shortly after 4am. The suspects smashed a ground-floor window and made an untidy search of the centre. It is not believed any property has been taken.
