First picture released as Yorkshire 15-year-old who died after taking illegal drugs named by police

Police have released the first picture and name of a 15-year-old Yorkshire teenager who died after taking illegal drugs.

Josh Reeson - who was from the New Earswick area of York - died on Sunday.

It is believed the boy was with a group of others who were also taking illegal drugs.

A member of the public found the boy an alley off Hospital Fields Road in York shortly before 4am on Sunday.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service alerted North Yorkshire Police police just after 7am.

North Yorkshire Police said a girl, aged 15, a 16-year-old boy, a 33-year-old woman and a man, 37, all remain in police custody following the death of the teen on Sunday (Sep 27).

Specially trained officers continue to support the teenager's family and police have requested that their privacy is respected at this extremely devastating time.
