Ferrari overturns in crash on Leeds motorway

A Ferrari has overturned in a crash on a motorway in Leeds.

Lane 1 on the M621 anti-clockwise was closed for some time today between Junction 1 at Beeston, Leeds and Junction 27 at Gildersome Interchange on the M62.

Highways England said the lane was "closed to facilitate the recovery of vehicles involved in a collision" after a crash involving a Ferrari.

The lane has now opened and the vehicle has been recovered.

Highways England for Yorkshire and the Humber initially tweeted at around 11:45am: "#M621 anti-clockwise J1 #Beeston to J27 #M62 lane 1 is currently closed to facilitate the recovery of vehicles involved in a collision.

"Storm Christoph 1 - Ferrari 0

It then gave an update at 12:20pm: "UPDATE #M621 anti-clockwise J1 #Beeston to J27 #M62 The vehicle has been recovered and all lanes are now open."
