Expensive antiques and paintings worth £8,000 stolen in burglary in Saltaire

Police have launched an appeal after burglars stole expensive antiques and paintings from a home in Saltaire.

The burglary took place between December 30 and January 21 at a house on Albert Road.

The suspects forced open a window and then searched inside, before leaving the house at the rear of the property.

Items that were stolen include jewellery, oil paintings and Victorian antiques.

In total, the stolen goods were valued in excess of £8,000.

The full list of stolen items is:

- Bespoke 22 carat wedding ring

- Pair of gold drop earrings

- 18 carat gold chain necklace

- Accurist ladies watch with gold strap

- 3ft by 2ft original framed oil still life painting of vase of flowers by Philip Naviasky

- 3ft by 2ft original framed oil table top still life painting of a pink vase and other items by a Scottish artist

- 2ft by 2ft original still life painting of Japanese cherry blossom

- 2ft by 2ft original oil landscape of a distant countryside village painting by a European artist

- Various glassware including Victorian cocktail glasses, perfume bottles and vases

- Gold tie pins and clips

- Laptop

- Red mock leather FM Roberts radio

- 19th century ceramic mantle clock

Police are appealing for anyone who recognises the items, has seen these for sale, or offered them for sale, to contact the Bradford District Crime Team.
