Driver in Yeadon arrested after possessing 'several hundred pounds'' worth of Class A drugs

The driver of a vehicle in Yeadon was arrested for possessing 'several hundred pounds'' worth of Class A drugs.

The driver was found to be in possession of the large amounts of Heroin when the vehicle was stopped over the weekend.

The driver has been arrested for possession with intent to supply the Class A drugs.

Enquiries are ongoing.

A post on the West Yorkshire Police - Leeds North West Facebook page said: "Over the weekend, officers from Leeds North West NPT stopped a vehicle in Yeadon & found several hundred pounds’ worth of Heroin on the driver.

"The driver was arrested for Possession with intent to supply Class A and enquiries continue.

"The supply and use of illegal drugs is something we take very seriously & will continue to combat whenever encountered, to keep our communities safe."
