The driver of a stolen car has been spotted stealing fuel from petrol stations in Leeds.

The black Vauxhall Zafira, registration number FL04 NRK, was taken in a burglary at a property in Beech Tree Mews, Batley, on November 25.

The vehicle has since been used in two incidents where petrol has been stolen from forecourts in Birstall and Morley.

Police have released a CCTV image from the Birstall incident as they appeal for information.

PC Richard Shires, of the Kirklees Burglary Team, said: “The vehicle is still outstanding but has clearly been in use since the burglary.

“We would urge anyone with information about the whereabouts of the Zafira, or with any other information which could help our ongoing enquiries, to call 101.”
