POLICE are appealing for information about a fight that broke out on a train.

The incident, which happened at around 7pm on Saturday, May 3, took place on the 5.50pm Trans Pennine Express service from Scarborough to Leeds.

A 38-year-old woman, travelling with her partner and child, made an allegation of assault following a dispute with a group of four women and three men.

Anyone with information is asked to call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference PSUB/B7 of 05/06/2014.
