Police want to speak to anyone offered designer clothes for sale in suspicious circumstances after a break-in at an upmarket shop in north Leeds.

Thieves tied tow-ropes to the front doors of Daniel Footwear, on Street Lane, Roundhay, and drove off, smashing the glass.

They then forced the internal shutter open before stealing more than 30 handbags, ladies’ boots – including Ugg brand items – and clothing.

PC Steve Ward, of the inner north east neighbourhood policing team, said: “We would like to hear from anyone who has been offered such items for sale in suspicious circumstances or who has any information that could assist the investigation.”

The appeal comes more than three months after the incident happened in the early hours of September 20.

Anyone with information should call PC Ward at Stainbeck police station via 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
