Cyclist seriously injured in hospital after Horsforth crash

A cyclist has serious injuries and has been taken to hospital after a crash in Horsforth this morning (Friday).

Police were called by the ambulance service to the crash on Friday morning which involved a vehicle and the cyclist.

The cyclist has serious injuries and has been taken to hospital after the incident which happened on Bayton Lane in Horsforth.

Police are asking anyone with information which may assist with ongoing enquiries to contact police on 101 or via their website.

The road was closed whilst police were at the incident and they warned of possible traffic delays as a result.

The road is now back open.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called by the ambulance service to assist in a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and cyclist on Bayton Lane, Horsforth.

"One person has serious injuries and has been taken to hospital.

"Enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with information which may assist is asked to contact police on 101 or via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/contactus quoting log 0363 of 22/01."
