Commuters in Leeds faced a foggy start to the day today, with dense patches of mist and fog enveloping much of the city.

The Met Office said the fog would lift throughout by midday, turning into a sunny day with temperatures up to 18 degrees.

But it warned the fog was expected to return on Saturday, becoming quite dense in some areas .

Saturday is set to stay dry with light winds and a maximum temperature of 14 degrees.
