Fingers crossed it’s good weather this week, as there’s plenty of cool stuff in Leeds to keep up busy.

Here are three of the best places to be in Leeds city centre.

Leeds Waterfront Festival, Leeds Dock

The Leeds Waterfront Festival is back, with street food, market stalls, children’s activities, zorbing, live music, a folk and ale festival, floating stage and, of course, the dragon boat race.

The free water taxi will take visitors to and from Granary Wharf and venues along the river are taking part.

The free event runs 10am to 4pm on June 27 and 28.

Rum Shack, Cross Belgrave Street

This new pop-up bar near Merrion Street is now open, so get yourself down there to try one of their delicious rum-based cocktails.

The menu will change regularly, and there will be rum tasting events and takeovers with bartenders from across the city showcasing their creations.

The bar on Cross Belgrave Street runs until September 5.

Fire Lake, The Light

The new cocktail bar and grill restaurant impressed the YEP’s restaurant reviewer Oliver in its opening week.

And now the venue, which is nestled inside the Radisson Blu Hotel at The Light, is celebrating its success with a launch party on Thursday.

We’re on Oliver’s side here and sure it will do well.
