EVER since we heard that a new venue called Headrow House was taking over the old Big Lil’s site, we’ve been patiently waiting for news. And now it’s finally here.
The 11,000sq ft building just off The Headrow has had a multi-million pound investment.
The former mill is being transformed into a mixed-use space for events, live music, arts and food.
Due to open on Friday, October 2, Headrow House has been a year in the making and will feature new restaurant Ox Club and a cocktail bar called Redondo Beach.
It will also include a beer hall, two roof terraces and a 150-capacity event space, set across four floors.
The huge project has been taken on by the people behind Belgrave Music Hall, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed it’s just as good.
The opening of Headrow House will coincide with the Beacons Metro Festival, which will take place at the venue for three months and will include gigs by more than 100 artists
City Buzz is going to get a sneak peek of the venue next week, so keep your eyes on Twitter @LeedsCityBuzz and on the YEP website.
