CCTV appeal after Halloween costume reveller punched man outside Leeds hotel

A man in a Halloween costume rained punches on another man in an attack outside a hotel in Leeds city centre.

British Transport Police (BTP) have now released a CCTV image of a man they want to find over the incident outside the Queens Hotel last Sunday.

The victim, a 29-year-old man Pudsey, was with a friend as he waited to catch a train.

PC Dan Worthington, investigating for BTP, said: “The“As they stood there, a minibus stopped nearby and a group of people wearing what appeared to be Halloween costumes, got out and went towards the station.

“One of the group approached the victim and punched him in the face several times, causing a cut to the victim’s face.

“Fortunately the victim wasn’t too seriously injured as a result of the incident but this was a nasty assault nonetheless.”

He said the man caught on CCTV is believed to have information that could help the investigation.

“I would urge anyone who knows the man pictured, or who has any information about the incident, to get in touch with us,” he added.
