Car stolen from Batley home as couple relaxed in hot tub

A Batley house was broken into and a car was stolen as the owners relaxed in a hot tub.

The incident took place at an address in Rockhill Close, Batley, at around 7.30pm on Friday.

The suspect/suspects smashed the patio door to the rear of the property and found a hand bag and car keys to a black VW Golf.

A similar incident also took place yesterday (Friday) at a property in Smithies Moor Rise, in Batley.

The incident took place between 2pm and 6.50pm as a window was smashed and entry was gained.

The car keys to a blue Audi A3 were found and the vehicle was stolen.

Kirklees CID are linking the two incidents and are appealing for witnesses who may have information or seen anything suspicious earlier in the day.
