Car crashes into tree during police chase in Leeds

The white car was driving away from officers at about 2am on Monday, July 27.

It crashed into a tree on Wike Lane at the junction with Harrogate Road.

There were five people in the car.

However, there were no reported injuries.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit said: "Leeds, Wike Lane, junction Harrogate Road.

"Vehicle failed to stopped for officers, before colliding with a tree after failing to negotiate a bend.

"There were 5 people in the car, fortunately no reported injuries.

"Enquiries ongoing into the offences."
