Beeston man denies murder after death of man struck by car in Headingley, Leeds Crown Court told

A Leeds man has denied murder following the death of a man who was struck by a car in Headingley.

Mohammed Fike Butt, 31, also pleaded not guilty to two charges of attempted murder, one charge of dangerous driving and one count of driving while disqualified when he appeared at Leeds Crown Court yesterday (Mon Sept 21).

Butt, of Cross Flatts Avenue, Beeston, denied murdering Jason Llanwarne on September 14 .

Butt also denied attempting to murder Dean Ward and Scott Chalders on the same date.

Butt pleaded not guilty to driving dangerously on North Lane at Headingley on September 14.

And he denied driving on North Lane at Headingley on September 14 while disqualified.

Judge Rodney Jameson QC remanded Butt in custody and told him a pre trial preparation hearing will be held on October 5.

Judge Jameson said : "I will set the trial date for March 15 (2021) with a time estimate of two weeks."
