Batley woman to go on trial over terrorism offences

A 57-year-old woman from Batley will stand trial for terrorism offences on Monday.

Mary Kaya, of Burnsall Road, Batley has been charged with an offence of Disseminating Terrorist Publications, contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

She appeared in court last year following an investigation by the North East Counter Terrorism Unit in October 2015.

Her trial at Leeds Crown Court is due to last for two weeks.
