Around £15,000 worth of cash, as well as drugs and weapons, were recovered when police carried out a search warrant at a house in the town.

A small amount of drugs, believed to be cocaine, a machete and a pickaxe handle were found at a house in Swanee Road, Kendray yesterday morning in addition to the cash.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed that a 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, money laundering and possession of an offensive weapon. They have since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
