Witnesses are being sought after a sex attack on a young woman in Armley, Leeds.
The 18-year-old victim was walking along a path which runs across Armley Moor at about 1.30am on Sunday (February 27) morning when she was grabbed from behind by a man who had been walking in the opposite direction.
The man pulled the terrified teenager to the ground where he sexually assaulted her while trying to strip clothing from her. She screamed for help and bravely tried to fight off her assailant and the man ran off into the dark.
The shocked woman ran towards Town Street, Armley, where she alerted a passer-by who called the police.
Her attacker was described as white, possibly East European, aged about 30, and approximately 5ft 11ins tall. He had a stubble beard and was wearing a grey top with a zip that went to the chest, a navy blue or black jacket and jeans.
