Armed police stop car in Harehills as man arrested for drugs supply

Harehills Lane was closed shortly before 4pm yesterday by police.

A man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.

The man is now in custody.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police arrested a man on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs when armed officers stopped a vehicle in Harehills Lane, Leeds, at 3.44pm yesterday.

"He remains in custody."
