Cottingley Drive in South Leeds was blocked this morning due to the police incident.

Heavy traffic started to build both ways between A643 Elland Road and Cottingley Approach.

Police said the incident was an armed deployment to Dulverton Close at 11.15am on Friday after a report of loud bangs.

However, the force confirmed the incident was not suspicious and all was found to be in order.

The road was reopened shortly after.
