50-year-old man arrested after assault in Tilbury Parade Holbeck

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in Holbeck on suspicion of assault.

A police cordon was put in place on Tilbury Parade in Holbeck overnight as police searched a house, close to the alleyway between the road and Cleveleys Court.

West Yorkshire Police said the incident was an assault and a 50-year-old man has now been arrested.

He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "This relates to an assault which occurred at an address in the area on Thursday morning. A 50-year-old man was arrested and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

"The scene is now closed."

Police were called to Top Moor Side, Holbeck, at 6am on Thursday following reports that a man had been assaulted near Holbeck Moor Park.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.

West Yorkshire Police said a man has been arrested in connection with the assault.

The incident was not thought to be connected to Friday's assault.
