17-year-old injured in Audi and bike crash in Leeds

A 17-year-old has been hospitalised after a crash on a busy Leeds road involving an Audi A3 and a motorbike.

The crash took place on Queenswood Drive, Leeds, at 1pm today.

Police were called to the incident and closed the road during the busy lunchtime rush hour.

A 17-year-old man - who was on the motorbike - was taken to hospital.

Police confirmed he suffered minor injuries.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "At 1pm today police were called to a road traffic collision involving an Audi A3 and a motorbike in Queenswood Drive, Leeds.

"A 17-year-old male who was on the motorbike was taken to hospital with minor injuries."

First West Yorkshire notified motorists of the road closure on social media.

They tweeted: "Queenswood Drive is closed and services will be diverted until further notice.

"The 56 towards Moor Grange will be diverting via Kirkstall Lane, Morris Lane & Spen Lane."

The road has since reopened.
