A 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Leeds.

Police were called to Dewsbury Road, Beeston, at 7.43pm on Monday, July 6.

The victim reported being in the Park Side Shop convenience store next to Cross Flatts Park when he was stabbed during an altercation with another male.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not considered life threatening.

Detectives are investigating the incident and have made an appeal for witnesses.

It is the second stabbing reported in Leeds on Monday, following an unconnected attack in Halton Moor which left a man with serious injuries.
