15-year-old boy charged after being caught with AXE on Leeds street

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged after he was caught carrying an axe on a street in Leeds.

Officers searched the boy on Mabgate in Burmantofts on Friday night, using stop and search powers.

He was found in possession of an axe and arrested, and later charged to court.

Leeds District Crime Team shared a picture of the axe and said: "15-year-old male stop searched and found in possession of an axe in the Mabgate area this evening.
