THREE Leeds councillors have helped spruce up the Chapeltown Road community wall.

The community wall, which was built 18 months ago, features tiling made by a wide and diverse range of community groups and helps to showcase the creative talents of the Chapeltown community.

The wall was in need of a tidy up and councillors Mohammed Rafique, Eileen Taylor and Jane Dowson Rafique, joined Brian Childers from contractors Shea Tiling to help complete the painting.

Coun Rafique (Labour/Chapel Allerton), said: “We wanted to use what would otherwise be a regular wall as a place for the community to showcase its artistic and creative talents.”
