Cosmetic brand '˜owns it' at launch

Cult cosmetics brand, Models Own, is made up after the launch of its Trinity Leeds store saw it achieve '˜record-breaking sales' from a new launch.

The new store, the first outside of London, is the latest development in the company’s global roll-out and also the company’s biggest ever retail operation as it makes Leeds a flagship location - a trend that has been seen by several national brands recently.

Queues formed at counters throughout the launch day last Tuesday and the company reported the opening day as one of its busiest ever launch events in terms of footfall and also first day sales rung through the tills.

In the evening there was an exclusive after-hours beauty blogger event with nail art, demonstrations by Models Own make-up Artist Ruth Brophy and specially-created ‘Pink Fizz’ cocktails from The Alchemist bar, which were named after the bestselling nail polish of the same name.

Dan Wharton, Marketing Manager at Trinity Leeds, said: “To be chosen as the first stand-alone store outside London is a real coup for the city.

“Models Own is a fantastic destination brand for those looking for cosmetics and we’re delighted to have added a huge splash of colour to our retail line-up.”

The 850 sq ft shop in the Trinity has been dubbed a ‘beauty playground’ - and prepare to be dazzled by colour.

It includes Models Own’s full makeup and accessories range of more than 650 new products, including best-selling eyeshadow palettes, vibrant lip gunks and lush rose gold brushes.

Also featured is latest collection, ‘Holochrome’, with iridescent finishes for lips, nails and eyes and as it’s Models Own, you can expect over 150 colours of nail polish.
