Concerns for missing Leeds dad after reports of body found in Turkey

THE FAMILY of a Leeds man missing in a Turkish holiday resort is facing an agonising wait for information amid reports that a body has been found.

Troy Ross, 28, from Seacroft, was last seen on April 30 leaving his hotel in Fethiye.

His partner Deanna Willumsen, 28, from Kippax, told the Yorkshire Evening Post that she had not yet heard from authorities despite reading articles on Turkish news websites.

She said: “I’m unsure what’s happening. There are a few rumours and it’s in the Turkish news that he’s dead but I haven’t had any confirmation.

“No one has contacted me.”

A spokeswoman for the Foreign Office said they had no updates last night.

Troy and Deanna flew to Turkey on April 28, for a five-night stay at the Jiva Beach Resort hotel.

Troy, who had been drinking on the night he went missing, was seen on CCTV trying to break down the door of the empty room after locking himself out. He was then seen on CCTV leaving the hotel at 9.30pm. Deanna flew home as planned last week to be with the couple’s three-month-old son Roman, who was being looked after by her mum while they were on holiday.

Troy, a scaffolder, also has a four-year-old, also called Troy, from a previous relationship.
