Community turns out for all the fun of Pudsey carnival
Thousands shared community spirit at a colourful carnival in Leeds after donations allowed the parade to go ahead.
A fundraising campaign paid for traffic management at Pudsey Carnival this year, with local people and businesses raising £1,300.
Floats featuring everything from animals to Oompa Loompas took to the town’s streets before the main event at Queens Park. Southroyd Primary School won Best Waggon Float while Pudsey Waterloo Primary was given the prize for Best Walking Float.
