Community celebration for Quarry Mount

Quarry Mount Primary School has celebrated its International Evening with support from its community.

COMMUNITY: A number of local businesses donated food for the event, including Whiteleys Bakery, Arkwirights Fish and Chip Shop, Isaaqs Grocery Store and the One Stop shop.

There was food from local businesses, with dancers Beanz and Georgina from Breakin Through Leeds helping pupils with break-dancing skills. Musicians Avtar and Victoria, from Art Forms, supported pupils’ musical talents, while Leeds City Academy’s Sheila Howarth worked with Quarry Mount representing the Leeds West Indian Carnival.

“The community came together to celebrate diversity,” organisers said.
