Collision shuts Leeds Stanningley Bypass

Police have shut a section of Stanningley Bypass at the scene of a collision between a pedestrian and a car.

Officers remained at the scene at 6.30pm following the collision which was reported to police shortly before 3.30pm on Sunday, July 3.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said he was unable to confirm the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries.

Motorists travelling along the road from Armley to Owlcotes are affected.
