Up close to new life at Harrogate's Springtime Live

Nearly 4,000 visitors attended the Harrogate venue for Springtime Live where families were treated to demonstrations and workshops with a food, farming and countryside theme.

There was ferret racing, gun dog displays, crafts workshops and a live stage show by CBeebies TV presenter Mr Bloom.

The event was organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society for the fifth successive year and show director Charles Mills declared it to have been a big success. He said: “It’s been a fantastic day with plenty of fun activities for the youngsters who have been able to get up close to farming animals as well as enjoying hands-on activities and entertainment.”
