YOU MAY have seen the dramatic images that showed parts of Leeds Dock under water during the Boxing Day floods last year.

Despite the setback, one of the bars is already back to business as usual and is hosting a string of fun-filled events.

Dock 29 – a new pop-up bar at Leeds Dock – is hosting a weekly ‘Let the Games Commence’ event every Friday night.

The retro evening will offer punters the chance to play classic games such as Battleship, Connect 4, Twister and table football.

Leeds Dock project co-ordinator, Lucy Whalley, said: “We wanted to offer adults the chance to revisit their youth by offering old school classic games to visitors and locals.

“There is a whole series of exciting events happening at Leeds Dock throughout 2016 and we want the city to know that despite the flooding Leeds Dock is back to business as usual. We are kick-starting things by bringing back good old-school fun!”

Music, fitness and food events will be held throughout January, including mindfulness lectures, gigs and food feasts.

It’s great to see businesses find their feet again after the floods. Why not pop down and show your support?
