The details of what’s in store is being kept under wraps for now, but if the bar does exactly what it says on the tin, we’re pretty sure it will be on to a winner.

It is in a prime spot too – nestled between Zaap Thai and Bar Soba at the bottom of the road.

With plans to revamp the historic West Yorkshire Bus Station just around the corner, turning it into an arts, music and bar space, it seems the Northern Quarter’s success is spreading.

Combine that with the nearby £165m Victoria Gate development, which is due to open at the end of the year, and it’s sure to go from strength to strength.

Looking back over the past 12 months, Merrion Street has really made a name for itself as one of the top nightspots in Leeds, giving the well-known Call Lane area a run for its money.

With Mean Eyed Cat, Vice and Virtue and Rum and Reason arriving on Merrion Street recently, it seems the momentum is still continuing for this thriving part of the city centre.
