The team at the Bierkeller have given their gastropub dishes a quirky twist by adding chocolate to them.

The two-course menu includes smoked salmon served with a white miso and chocolate dressing for starters, and chilli con carne with cacao, kalonji seed, cardamom and coriander rice for mains. Peter Robinson, sales director at the Bierkeller Entertainment Complex, said: “We’re expecting a really busy weekend this bank holiday Easter.

And the Easter fun doesn’t stop there.

A selection of treats including chocolate, bar tabs and a brand new iPad will be hidden around the Sheaf Street building.

Tickets for the event tomorrow , which starts from 4pm until late, are on sale via @eventbriteuk.

And don’t forget to bring your fancy dress along with you too!
