But a new take on the game could change your mind.

Bongo’s Bingo is set to host weekly events at Canal Mills in Leeds after a successful trial event in December last year.

The chaotic version of the usually tranquil game will return to Leeds on Wednesday, January 27.

Participants can win big cash prizes and take part in rave intervals and dance-offs.

The events are hosted by larger-than-life character Jonny Bongo, who holds the World Record for the biggest ever pub quiz.

Organiser Joshua Burke said: “We launched in Leeds in December for a one-off festive special, and it was one of our best parties yet!

“Now we are coming to the city every Wednesday.

Liverpool and Manchester have been going insane, with sold-out shows every week, and we are thrilled to be taking the concept to Leeds on a regular basis now.”

He added: “The popularity is no doubt thanks to our amazing host Jonny Bongo who works the room into a complete frenzy.

“Bongo’s Bingo appeals to a huge variety of people who all absolutely love it, it’s right across the board in terms of who comes.

“It’s a crazy and unique atmosphere and has turned into a bit of a phenomenon really – and it really has to be seen to be believed!”

Entry is £4, which includes a book and pen, and doors open at 6pm.
