A fantasmagorical car pulled up outside West Yorkshire Playhouse yesterday before embarking on a tour of Leeds.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang landed at the theatre - where the musical will have a two-month Christmas run from December 2 - to be welcomed by the show’s cast and artistic director James Brining.

It then travelled around the town to Trinity Leeds where it spent the rest of the day before returning to the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire. The musical comes to the city after a sell-out run in the West End.
