A football match was held in Morley to raise money for the Canlelighters charity, based in Leeds.
Candlelighters help families of children suffering from cancer, and was chosen as the recipient in memory of the late Max Johnson, the son of Lee Johnson, managing director of Ossett-based JEM Shopfitting.
The two teams were made up from SBS Contractors in Liversedge and JEM Shopfitters, consisting of friends and families from the two companies.
Glenn Miller, from SBS, said: “A big thank you to all involved, they all know every penny raised is to support our local Leeds Candlelighters.
“The facilities at Bruntcliffe Academy were excellent, and we appreciate Leeds Education Department allowing us to use them.”
SBS beat JEM 10-5 in dreadful wind and pouring rain on the day. Around £5,000 has been raised for the charity.
