Child seriously injured after being hit by a bus while cycling in Leeds

A child has been taken to hospital after being struck by a bus in Leeds.

The boy, whose age has not been released, was crossing the carriageway on Foundry Lane in Seacroft when the collision took place in the bus lane just after 9am this morning.

He was riding a bike at the time.

He has been taken to hospital with serious injuries and his parents are with him.

The bus lane was closed while police investigated the scene but the road remained open.
