They wowed millions of TV viewers as they stormed to victory on last year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent.
Now fans of Collabro have the chance to see them live on stage as Leeds kicks off its official countdown to Christmas.
The five-piece boy band were today confirmed as the latest addition to the line-up for the city’s festive lights switch-on party next Thursday, November 12.
Collabro’s Richard Hadfield said the band were “excited” about appearing at the free Leeds City Council-organised event, which is expected to attract around 15,000 revellers.
Previously-announced stars on the bill include the Leeds Rock Choir, Cbeebies hosts Alex Winters and Cat Sandion and 911 singer Lee Brennan, who is set to star in a production of Aladdin at the city’s Carriageworks Theatre.
Singing and rapping guitar duo The Richards and of course Santa will also be in attendance.
Radio favourites Dixie and Emma, from Heart Breakfast, will be handling presenting duties.
Dixie said today: “It’s one of the highlights of the year, stepping out in front of the massive crowds to kick off the festive fun in Leeds.
“As well as Collabro I can’t wait to see Santa’s showtime, that’s when Christmas really starts for me!”
Next Thursday’s entertainment gets under way in Victoria Gardens at 6.45pm and will include a spectacular fireworks display.
Funfair rides will also be set up along Cookridge Street.
