A charity worker will take on a fundraising challenge of his own when he runs the Leeds Half Marathon next month.

Matt Jameson, Macmillan Cancer Support’s Leeds fundraiser, will tackle the 13.1 mile route around the city on May 8 in aid of his employer.

The 34-year-old said: “My family has been affected by cancer, so this isn’t just about the charity I work for, but saying thank you to the people who supported me and my family. Everybody is affected by this illness and every day I’m inspired by the amazing people of Leeds and their generosity.”
