In a recent shake-up, technical director Stephen Midgely took up the company ownership after founding chairman David Midgley stood down to explore new business opportunities. Brewology services range from offering a complete set of equipment for aspiring brewers to software development and spares. In the last three years since being formed it has invested in a new plant and employees to see turnover grow to the current £1.6m.

Brewology won a number of contracts last year - including a major project with Fuller Smith and Turner PLC (Fuller’s) to build a state-of the-art ‘robot’ packaging line at its historic Chiswick brewery - home to the famous London Pride premium ale - which enabled the handling of up to 480 casks per hour.

David Grant said: “As a young business we are fast building a reputation for quality with innovation. This year we were especially delighted to help Fuller’s, London’s most historic but forward-thinking brewery, with their major investment.

“The brewing industry is growing apace, with some 2,000 UK breweries now, and many need help with their development in a highly competitive environment. We can provide innovative solutions and this year aim to grow business with both fledgling and established brewers.”
