Chance to win donkey adoption

The Yorkshire Evening Post has teamed up with the Donkey Sanctuary in Leeds to offer readers the chance to adopt a donkey.

Adoption makes a wonderful Christmas gift and you choose from three of the centre’s rescued animals; Billy O, Harbin and Ripple.

The year-long prize includes two portraits, four beautiful postcards, a certificate and membership card plus two newsletters and regular updates on social media. What’s really great is that the adopter can visit their donkey for free at the centre in Eccup throughout the year.

To win, simply answer this question: How many adoption donkeys are there at the Leeds centre?

Email your answer, along with the name, address, phone number and email address of the adopter and their age (if under 16) to [email protected]. The deadline is December 8. We also need to know which donkey you would like to adopt.

To help, here’s a bit of information about each:

- Billy O is Mr Popular with his donkey friends. He likes running off with buckets in his mouth and tipping the odd wheelbarrow over.

- Harbin is a bright little donkey who’s incredibly laid back and loves human contact.

- Ripple is a gorgeous chocolate brown donkey who is utterly adorable especially when he puts his head on your shoulder and wobbles his bottom lip.

Adopting a donkey also makes a great last-minute gift as visitors can call into the centre and purchase a pack right up to Christmas Eve. You can also adopt a donkey online at www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/adopt or call 01395 573133.
