New CCTV images have been issued by police searching for a missing hospital patient.

Ian Hickin, who was admitted to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield on January 22, went misisng the following evening.

The images show the 40-year-old at the hospital on the night he went missing.

Officers say they are increasingly concerned for his welfare, particularly as he has a medical condition.

Detective Inspector Paul Harrison, of Wakefield District CID, said: “These CCTV images clearly show what Ian Hickin looked like on the night he was last seen and we are hoping they may just spark someone’s memory.

“Clearly it has now been some time since the last confirmed sighting of Ian and given that he was not in good health we are increasingly concerned for his welfare.”
