CCTV pictures released after Colcoates Avenue robbery in Leeds

Two robbers approached a man from behind before punching him in the face and stealing his phone, bank cards and cash, police say.

Officers today released CCTV images of two people they want to speak to after a man was left injured on Coldcoates Avenue in Leeds on Tuesday, October 19 at around 10.30pm.

In their appeal, police said that the victim, a man aged 18, was walking along Coldcoates Avenue when he was approached by two suspects from behind who punched him in the face and stole his mobile phone, bank cards and money.

The suspects also demanded his pin code for his cards, police added.

DC Rob Kennerley, of Leeds CID, said: “We are releasing these CCTV images of two men we wish to speak to in connection with this incident.

“I would like to appeal to members of the public to come forward with any information if you recognise either of the people in the images.”

The first suspect is described as male, 6ft tall, large build, dark coloured bandana covering his face, black hoody and dark coloured jeans.

The second is also male, approximately 5ft 8in, slim build, wearing dark coloured clothes and bandana.
