CCTV Image released in Leeds taxi driver attack probe

DETECTIVES have released CCTV imges of a man they want to trace in connection with a knifepoint robbery in Leeds.

The incident happened after a taxi driver picked a man up from JD’s nightclub in Morley at around 2.40am on Sunday July 1.

The man, described as white, 25-27 years old, 6ft tall, of thin build and had short dark hair, was wearing a pair of blue jeans, black t-shirt with a motif on the front and he was carrying a white “I LOVE JD’S” t-shirt.

He threatened the driver with a black handled kitchen knife demanding money.

The complainant attempted to grab the blade of the knife and suffered cuts to his hands and loss of blood. The man then ran off in the direction of Dulverton Place.
