Get planning your Hospice Half Hour fundraiser

Have your say

Have you got half an hour to spare? The YEP needs your help to fundraise for St Gemma’s Hospice and Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds - and that’s all the time it will take.

We are launching a new fundraising challenge called Hospice Half Hour, to boost the coffers of both hospices through the YEP Half and Half Appeal.

The appeal is believed to be the longest-running newspaper charity campaign in the country and has raised a staggering £2.8m since it began in 1982.

Now we are hoping to reach £3m but need your help.

For Hospice Half Hour we are asking you to do whatever you want to raise as much money for the appeal as you can in 30 minutes during National Hospice Week - which runs from October 6-12.

So get your thinking caps on and get planning, and help make this appeal a real success, raising vital money to help Leeds’ two hospices.

What you do is completely up to you. Events planned so far include bacon butty sales, cakes sales, cash collections and a guess who competition from baby pictures of office colleagues.

We will give coverage to all who get involved and there will be a roll of honour online and in print.

Please join in and help make this a success. Contact us ASAP if you would like more details or to tell us what you are doing.
