Call to paddle in festive Santa splash
Santas are set to make a festival splash in Leeds this December.
Organised by the waterways and wellbeing charity Canal & River Trust through its Desmond Family Canoe Trail project, the event will give everyone the chance to try out canoeing for free, no matter what their level of experience.
Qualified instructors will support all participants, and canoes and buoyancy aids available to borrow at the event on Saturday December 8, 10am, at Office Lock, Granary Wharf LS1 4GS.
Everyone, who will be given a santa suite, will then paddle along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal to St Anne’s Lock and back again.
