Such good taste! Food manufacturer teams up with brand

A LEEDS food manufacturer is teaming up with a household name to bring a popular brand back to the supermarket shelves.

Symington's, based on Pontefract Lane, has joined forces with Campbell's to bring the well-known name back to the fore.

The company will launch the first Campbell's-branded range of dry products in the UK which will include dry soups, simmer soups, savoury rice and pasta and sauce.

Symington's marketing director Henrik Pade said: "The time is right for Campbell's to return to Britain's supermarkets and our combined expertise and experience in the market should ensure this new venture is a resounding success.

"Campbell's is a trusted name that is loved by consumers for consistently delivering quality products so we're thrilled to be joining forces with them."

Symington's chief executive David Salkeld added: "The move into this market fits perfectly with our current range of products and offers us a great opportunity for further development under a very strong brand name."

Symingtons makes a wide variety of products, from those bearing the name of TV chef Ainsley Harriott to Golden Wonder Noodles and Crosse & Blackwell branded items.
