Spending big money to boost vehicle fleet

A VEHICLE rental firm is to fork out big money on new autos.

Burnt Tree Vehicle Rental, which has a branch in Leeds, is set to invest more than 60 million to boost its national supply network of cars, panel vans, tipper trucks, tractor units and specialist vehicles.

Russell Taylor, general manager of the Leeds depot, pictured, said: "Burnt Tree Vehicle Rentalin Leeds has gone from strength to strength in thetwo years since opening.

"We now operate over four hundred vehicles to a range of clients, including public sector, blue chip and sole traders.

"The investment we are making in vehicles this year means that we can fulfil our clients' needs in both new, additional hires and the desire to maintain a professional company image by freshening up their current fleet."

Burnt Tree, based in Shrewsbury, is the UK's largest independently-owned vehicle rental company.
